The Bulgarian artist Javacheff Christo went to Paris after his studies at the academies in Sofia and Vienna and joined the 'Nouveau Réalisme' there. From 1958, he packaged objects with his wife, Jeanne-Claude. Through oversized packaging situations of buildings, landscapes or even air, they became world-famous. These actions were realised, recorded and documented from planning, through completion, to dismantling. The oeuvre also includes drawings, graphics, objects and photographs. The documentary character can also be found in this collage set in Plexiglas. Consisting of a colour lithograph, the matching site plan of the action and the wrapping by the twine tied around it. The works of the artist duo can be seen in international galleries and museums. The Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, for example, is currently honouring Christo's work in a comprehensive exhibition.
