Biogram
Studiował w latach 1873-79 w Szkole Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie. Studia artystyczne uzupełniał w Akademii Wiedeńskiej u Carla Wurzingera (1880-81) oraz w Akademii Monachijskiej u Wilhelma Lindenschmita (1883-85). W 1891 roku wraz z Tadeuszem Popielem odbył podróż do Wiednia, Pragi, Berlina, Kopenhagi i Monachium. W 1885 zamieszkał na stałe we Lwowie. Na początku swojej twórczości malował portrety, a od 1890 roku malował głównie pejzaże.
