Piotr Kutryba urodził się 27 czerwca 1959 roku w Bestwinie. Studiował na katowickim Wydziale Grafiki Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie. Dyplom z projektowania graficznego pod kierunkiem doc. Gerarda Labusa i z malarstwa u prof. Romana Nowatorskiego uzyskał w 1983 roku. Zajmuje się malarstwem, rysunkiem, projektowaniem graficznym, rysunkiem satyrycznym. Był wielokrotnie wyróżniany i nagradzany, a jego prace znajdują się w zbiorach prywatnych w kraju i za granicą.
