Otto Friedrich GEBLER (1838-1917)
Znany niemiecki malarz zwierząt, jednym z jego ulubionych tematów były owce, przedstawienia pasterzy, sceny rodzajowe. Urodził się w Dreźnie, gdzie rozpoczął studia artystyczne na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych, które kontynuował w Monachium pod kierunkiem Karla Theodora von Piloty'ego. Od 1864 roku regularnie uczestniczył w wystawach sztuki w Dreźnie, Monachium, Berlinie, Paryżu i Wiedniu. W 1874 r. otrzymał Złoty Medal na wystawie w Berlinie. Był honorowym członkiem Akademii Monachijskiej, a później także jej profesorem.
