Silver, 0.61 g, 16.0 mm. Metcalf (class C, but the lettering like class B!) 352. Grade II-, no damages, well struck, grey toning, two spots of black patina on Rev.
The ‘bare head’ type probably occurred during the
minority of Duke Bohemond, when he reigned under the guardianship of Patriarch Aimery.
It is much rarer than the helmet deniers (see the next lot).
